Risk disclosure.
Material risks of trading CFDs, foreign exchange and digital assets — fully set out for you to read before deciding.
General risk warning
Trading contracts for difference (CFDs), foreign exchange, digital assets, and other leveraged financial instruments carries a significant degree of risk. These instruments are not suitable for every investor. Invested capital may be lost in part or in full. You should carefully evaluate whether this kind of trading is appropriate for you in light of your financial circumstances and investment objectives, and you should never invest capital whose loss would materially affect your financial situation.
Key risks
- Market risk. Prices may move adversely and rapidly, particularly during periods of low liquidity or macroeconomic stress. Well-diversified portfolios can still experience meaningful drawdowns.
- Liquidity risk. Positions may not be exitable at preferred prices, especially in less-liquid instruments or during stress. Bid-ask spreads may widen substantially.
- Leverage risk. The use of margin amplifies both gains and losses. A small adverse price move may cause loss greater than initially invested capital if leverage is used.
- Technology risk. System failures, internet outages or third-party disruptions may affect execution. We maintain redundant infrastructure and operate failover procedures, but no system is immune to failure.
- Regulatory risk. Changes in applicable legislation may affect trading conditions, instrument availability, or platform availability in your jurisdiction.
- Counterparty risk. Subscriber capital is held in segregated accounts at regulated prime brokers, but counterparty failure remains a theoretical risk that no system can entirely eliminate.
- Operational risk. Human error, fraud, or operational failure may affect execution. We mitigate these risks via layered controls and annual SOC 2 audit, but they cannot be entirely eliminated.
Performance is not guaranteed
Aurevia Tradex makes no warranty as to future investment returns. The historical performance of the platform or a specific instrument is not indicative of future results. The platform exists to manage subscriber capital with rigour and discipline; it does not exist to guarantee outcomes.
Suitability self-check
Before opening a subscription, you should be able to answer "yes" to all of the following:
- I understand clearly what a contract for difference, a foreign exchange position or a digital asset position is, and what can happen to the value of each.
- I am investing capital I can afford to lose entirely without material impact on my financial situation.
- I understand that no algorithm, however sophisticated, can predict every market regime.
- I have read this risk disclosure in full and have taken independent professional advice where appropriate.
